Caverion, SKB, Swedish Nuclear Fuel and Waste Management Company, and Vattenfall, one of Europe's largest generators of electricity, extend the framework agreement for the Ringhals and Forsmark nuclear power plants. “We are pleased to have extended a long-standing and mutually beneficial agreement with an important client. Some parts of the agreement date back as far as 1972 and I am convinced that we will continue to deliver high quality services and also deepen and further develop the agreement over the next three years,” says Thomas Lundin, Executive Vice President & CEO, Division Sweden of Caverion.

The agreement includes the disciplines of Heating & Sanitation, Ventilation & Air Conditioning, Cooling, Electricity, Information and Communication Services,  Automation, Industrial Installations and Process Piping. Vattenfall and SKB belong to Caverion’s industry client segment.

Vattenfall is a publicly owned energy company with approximately 28,000 employees. Forsmark and Ringhals are two of the largest nuclear power plants in Sweden and are situated in Uppland north of Stockholm and on the west-coast between Gothenburg and Malmo. Ringhals is the largest power plant in the Nordic countries and produces one fifth of the total amount of energy used in Sweden.

SKB is responsible for handling all the radioactive waste from nuclear power plants in Sweden in a safe way.
